Rules:

 

1) Entry is open to all photographers worldwide, amateur or professional

2) Digital images are accepted to the themes A, B, D. Print images is accepted to the theme C.

A) Open color. This covers all subjects and includes creative images.
B) Open monochrome. This covers all subjects and includes creative images.
C) Open general prints. Color and monochrome images accepted.
D) Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. Digital Color and monochrome images accepted.

3) All acceptances accrues to FIAP, PSA ,UPI and SKsL honorary titles.

4) All digital images must be maximum 1920 pixels horizontal and 1080 pixels vertical side including any borders. Images must be saved as jpg files of a good quality. The file size of a picture must not exceed 2 MB. The color profile must be sRGB.

5) Each entrant is limited to 4 (four) images per section. Images will be judged using a good quality screen monitor, so the true colours are well portrayed. (HP Display Z23i, 23", 1920 x 1080 Full HD, IPS) No information about the entrant, her/his country or image must be visible in the picture.

6) Labelling: There is need of special naming of images; the given name will be used in the catalogue. Entrants are encouraged to type the names the way they will be printed.

7) Permission to reproduce any image in an internet exhibition and in online and pdf-catalogue is assumed. Also permission to reproduce any image in printed catalogue is assumed. The accepted pictures will be shown as a presentation in the Salon shows.

8) The organizers may refuse to accept an entry, image or title at their discretion.

9) The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. Copyright of the images accepted for catalogue and support of our salon retained by the author.

10) The payment method is PayPal. Where the entry fee is paid with cash, money order or cheque, photographs will not be judged or returned.

11) This competition is run under FIAP, PSA and UPI rules. Entries without fees or with incorrect fees will be rejected.

12) All entrants will be sent a catalogue, which will be posted by surface mail. The catalogue is also available as a pdf-file on our web site.

13) Entries must originate as photographs, i.e. image captures via light sensivity, made by the entrant.

14) By virtue of submitting an entry the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This includes web galleries.

15) Submission of an entry signifies acceptance of all our conditions. The same image (monochrome or Color version) can not be enter different sections of exhibitions in the same year.

20) Monochrome definition (FIAP)
A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black & white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black& white category; such a work may be reproduced in black & white in the catalogue. On the other hand a black and white work modified by partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category.

PSA Monochrome definition.
A monochrome image is defined as having varying shades of no more than one color (various shades of that color from very light to very dark) but it may be any single color. Multi-toned images (various shades of two or more colors) and greyscale images with added an accent color are not acceptable in Monochrome Class sections and must be entered in Color Class sections

21) Rules for Prints
For entry in PRINT sections, each participant has to register online (and upload jpeg copies of the prints) and physically send us the prints.
The printed photographs must be unmounted.
Maximum size A4 or Letter (21cm x 30cm or 8″ x 12″). Minimum size is 20 cm x 20 cm. Prints can be in either landscape or portrait format.
On the back of each print shall be marked (a) name and address of the entrant (b) title of the picture.
JPEG Copies: During the on-line entry you will need to upload a JPEG copy of the prints. (These copies are used when we produce the catalogue.)

* Maximum image long sidei 1920 pix, Maximum image short side is 1080 pix.
* File size maximum is 2 MB
* Images must not have any signatures front side.
File name should be in English, unique, NOT containing special symbols. File name should be the artwork name.
NOTE: The requirement for a JPEG copy applies to all prints including those produced in a darkroom.
Titles: The titles of the prints will be read out to the judges at the time of judging. Do not put your name in the title.
Names: No information about the entrant or country will be given to the judges. A print showing the name of the entrant will be disqualified.

PAYMENT
Entry fee payment could be made with credit/debit cards through PayPal (even without registration). Each participant would be redirected to PayPal website for payment during entry registration process. Entry fee is 30 € for all sections.

IMPORTANT: The organizers may reject any entry/image at their discretion. An entry may be rejected if it does not conform to published Salon rules and definitions or is deemed unsuitable. In order to ensure that images comply with the rules and definitions, the organizers will carry out checks on a random selection of images to make sure that:
1. The images are the original work of the entrant
2. The images comply with the rules and definitions as set out above. This may involve the entrant being asked to provide the original image(s). In the event of any submitted image being found to contravene the above rules and definitions, or not to be wholly the work of the entrant, that entrant’s complete entry will be disqualified and the entry fee forfeited. An entrant failing to provide a requested image file may, at the organizers’ discretion, be considered to be in convention of the above rules and will also be disqualified and the entry fee forfeited.
3. The Organizer decides which of the accepted images would be included in the Catalog and in the Exhibition.
4. With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.
