1) Entry is open to all photographers worldwide, amateur or professional

2) Only digital images are accepted. The themes are

A) Open color. This covers all subjects and includes creative images.
B) Open monochrome. This covers all subjects and includes creative images.
C) Travel. Color and monochrome images accepted. What is a Photo Travel Division Photo.
D) Street photography is an art photography that features the human condition within public places and does not necessitate the presence of a street or even the urban environment. The subject of the photograph might be absent of people and can be object or environment where the image projects a decidedly human character in facsimile or aesthetic. ... Framing and timing are key aspects of the craft, with the aim of creating images at a decisive or poignant moment. Color and monochrome images accepted.

3) All acceptances accrues to FIAP, PSA ,UPI and SKsL honorary titles.

4) All images must be maximum 1920 pixels horizontal and 1080 pixels vertical side including any borders. Images must be saved as jpg files of a good quality. The file size of a picture must not exceed 2 MB. The color profile must be sRGB.

5) Each entrant is limited to 4 (four) images per section. Images will be judged using a good quality screen monitor, so the true colours are well portrayed. (HP Display Z23i, 23", 1920 x 1080 FullHD, IPS) No information about the entrant, her/his country or image must be visible in the picture.

6) Labelling: There is need of special naming of images; the given name will be used in the catalogue. Entrants are encouraged to type the names the way they will be printed.

7) Permission to reproduce any image in an internet exhibition and in online and DVD pdf-catalogue is assumed. Also permission to reproduce any image in printed catalogue is assumed. The accepted pictures will be shown as a presentation in the Salon shows.

8) The organizers may refuse to accept an entry, image or title at their discretion.

9) The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. Copyright of the images accepted for catalogue and support of our salon retained by the author.

10) The payment method is PayPal. Where the entry fee is paid with cash, money order or cheque, photographs will not be judged or returned.

11) This competition is run under FIAP, PSA and UPI rules. Entries without fees or with incorrect fees will be rejected.

12) All entrants will be sent a catalogue, which will be posted by surface mail. The catalogue is also available as a pdf-file on our web site.

13) Entries must originate as photographs, i.e. image captures via light sensivity, made by the entrant.

14) By virtue of submitting an entry the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This includes web galleries.

15) Submission of an entry signifies acceptance of all our conditions. The same image (monochrome or Color version) can not be enter different sections of exhibitions in the same year.

20) Monochrome definition (FIAP)
A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black & white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black& white category; such a work may be reproduced in black & white in the catalogue. On the other hand a black and white work modified by partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category.

PSA Monochrome definition.
A monochrome image is defined as having varying shades of no more than one color (various shades of that color from very light to very dark) but it may be any single color. Multi-toned images (various shades of two or more colors) and greyscale images with added an accent color are not acceptable in Monochrome Class sections and must be entered in Color Class sections


21) Photo Travel Division (PTD) Definition
A Photo Travel image must express the feeling of a time and place, and portray a land, its distinctive features or culture in its natural state. There are no geographical limitations. Close-up pictures of people or objects must include distinguishable environment. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Conversion to full monochrome is acceptable. Derivations, including infrared, are unacceptable.

22) Photo journalism definition (PJD)
The only digital editing that can be allowed must fit with the PSA definition for acceptable Photojournalism images. “Photojournalism entries shall consist of images or sequences of images with informative content and emotional impact, including human interest, documentary and spot news. The journalistic value of the image shall receive priority over pictorial quality. In the interest of credibility, images that misrepresent the truth and model or staged set-ups are not permitted. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the image, without changing the photojournalism content, are permitted. All adjustments must appear natural.”
